Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and television host best known as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl was raised within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised in one of the most difficult families. She spent most her childhood looking after her sick sister Frankie. Growing up, she experienced many issues with her mom. Sheryl claims that at some point her mother had stabbed her father because she was getting close to the father. At the time of her college graduation, Sheryl became a military officer. Sheryl's interest in comedy was greater. She became the first female finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. In 1992, she made her TV debut as a regular participant on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She also hosted the show Oh Drama! in 2000. In 2011, she began making appearances on The Talk as co-host. She has also played fictional roles in series such as Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
