R&B singer who sang the song by Prince I Feel for You was a big hit. I feel for You from Rufus, that she is also a part of, is an extremely well-loved. She also is the frontwoman of Rufus. Khan was born the daughter of a Catholic. She went to her parish of Hyde Park Saint Thomas the Apostle Church as her elementary school. She credits her grandmother for introduction to jazz music when she was just a little girl. Khan discovered a love for rhythm and Blues as a young teen. The first time she formed a girl group called the Crystalettes at age eleven and Taka. She left her place in the Panthers in 1969 and resigned from high school after attending Calumet High School, and Kenwood High School. (Now Kenwood Academy). She started performing in smaller groups throughout the Chicago area first performing with Cash McCall's group Lyfe with her former boyfriend Hassan Khan. Chaka got married to Hassan in 1970.
